About Naattil

Naattil is a hyperlocal community marketplace platform developed and operated by Ziya Sync Infotech, based in Kerala, India. Naattil connects local shops, service providers, freelancers, buyers, and community members within individual panchayats and municipalities.

By downloading, installing, or using the Naattil application ("App") — available on Google Play Store, Apple App Store, Huawei AppGallery, Samsung Galaxy Store, and as a Progressive Web App (PWA), you ("User") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

📍 Naattil operates as a platform (marketplace intermediary) and is not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers. We do not hold inventory or take physical possession of goods.

Eligibility & User Accounts

Users must be 18 years or older to create an account and use the marketplace features. Users aged 13–17 may use the app under parental supervision for community/news features only.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
One account per individual or business entity. Multiple accounts are not permitted.
Naattil reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Platform Services

Naattil provides the following services:

Marketplace Listings: Buy and sell new, used, and homemade products locally.
Shop Profiles: Local businesses can create verified shop profiles.
Jobs Board: Post and discover local job opportunities.
Community News: Panchayat-level local news and announcements.
Services Directory: Find local service providers, auto/taxi, freelancers.
Offers & Deals: Shops can post promotional offers to the community.
Token Economy: A virtual coin system (₹1 = 1 Token) for in-app promotional features.

⚠️ Naattil is a platform intermediary. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or availability of any listed products or services. Users transact at their own risk.

Prohibited Content & Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on Naattil:

Listing or selling illegal, counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited goods
Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
Uploading obscene, hateful, defamatory, or harmful content
Impersonating any person, business, or government entity
Spamming, phishing, or sending unsolicited messages
Scraping, copying, or reverse-engineering the platform
Any activity that violates Indian law, including the IT Act 2000 and its amendments
Sale of alcohol, tobacco, drugs, weapons, or any item regulated under Indian law without proper licensing

Violations may result in immediate account suspension, removal of content, and/or reporting to authorities.

Subscriptions & Tokens

Shop Subscriptions: Naattil offers paid subscription plans (Starter ₹99/mo, Basic ₹499/mo, Pro ₹999/mo) that unlock additional product listing slots, verified badges, and promotional features.

Subscriptions are billed monthly and auto-renew unless cancelled.
Payment is processed via the integrated payment gateway. Naattil does not store card or UPI details.
Subscription fees are non-refundable once the billing cycle has commenced, except as required by law.

Tokens/Coins: Virtual tokens purchased within the app are non-refundable and have no cash value. Tokens expire with your account.

💳 Payment gateway integration is coming soon. Currently, subscriptions are activated manually by contacting the Naattil team. No payment data is collected or stored by the app at this time.

Intellectual Property

All content, branding, code, design, and features of Naattil are the intellectual property of Ziya Sync Infotech. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

By posting content on Naattil, you grant Ziya Sync Infotech a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote your content within the platform.

Limitation of Liability

Naattil and Ziya Sync Infotech shall not be liable for:

Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform
Disputes between buyers and sellers
Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
Service interruptions, technical errors, or downtime
Actions of third-party service providers or payment processors

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Naattil's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Naattil in the three months preceding the claim.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India.

We encourage users to first contact us at info@naattil.in for informal resolution before pursuing legal remedies.

Changes to Terms

Naattil reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of material changes through the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

App Store Specific Terms

Google Play Store: These Terms supplement Google Play's Terms of Service. In case of conflict, Google Play's Terms prevail for distribution matters.

Apple App Store: This EULA is between you and Ziya Sync Infotech only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Apple is not responsible for any claims related to the App. You may use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by App Store Usage Rules.

Huawei AppGallery / Samsung Galaxy Store: Similar third-party distribution terms apply. The respective store's policies govern distribution; these Terms govern your use of the App itself.

PWA (Progressive Web App): Web-based access is governed solely by these Terms and applicable internet laws.

📱 For Apple App Store: Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA. Upon acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce this EULA as a third-party beneficiary.

Introduction

Ziya Sync Infotech ("we", "us", "our") operates the Naattil application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (Amendment) Act, 2008, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) of India.

🔒 We are committed to protecting your privacy. We collect only what is necessary to provide our services, and we never sell your personal data to third parties.

Data We Collect

Information you provide:

Name, phone number, and location (panchayat/district) during registration
Shop name, address, and business details (for shop owners)
Product listings, photos, prices, and descriptions you post
Messages sent through the platform
Reviews and ratings you submit

Information collected automatically:

Device type, operating system, and app version
IP address and approximate location (for local content delivery)
Usage patterns and feature interactions (for app improvement)
Crash reports and error logs

We do NOT collect:

Precise GPS/real-time location without explicit permission
Payment card numbers or UPI PINs (handled by payment processor)
Contacts, camera, or microphone access without permission

How We Use Your Data

To create and manage your account
To display hyperlocal content relevant to your panchayat
To facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers
To send notifications about orders, offers, and community updates
To verify shop identities and prevent fraud
To improve app performance and user experience
To comply with legal obligations and law enforcement requests

📍 Your panchayat/location data is used solely to show you relevant local content. We do not track your real-time movements.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on:

Supabase (PostgreSQL database) — hosted on AWS infrastructure. Data may be processed outside India; appropriate data protection measures are in place.
Firebase by Google (authentication & notifications) — governed by Google's Privacy Policy and data processing terms.
Device-level localStorage — session data, preferences, and cache stored locally on your device.

All data transmission is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS
Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
Row-level security (RLS) policies ensure users can only access their own data
We conduct regular security reviews of our database policies

⚠️ No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users within 72 hours as required by applicable law.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data with:

Service Providers: Supabase (database), Firebase (auth), payment processors — only to the extent necessary to operate the service
Law Enforcement: When required by Indian law, court order, or government authority
Other Users: Your shop name, phone number, and listing details are visible to other users as part of the marketplace functionality. You control what you post.

Your Rights (DPDPA 2023)

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:

Access: Request a copy of your personal data we hold
Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
Erasure: Request deletion of your account and associated data
Grievance Redressal: Raise a complaint with our Data Protection Officer
Withdraw Consent: Opt out of non-essential data processing

Children's Privacy

Naattil is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will delete it promptly.

Users aged 13–17 may use the app only with verifiable parental consent, in compliance with DPDPA 2023 Section 9.

Cookies & Local Storage

The Naattil app uses browser localStorage and app-level storage to:

Remember your login session and preferences
Cache panchayat and location data for faster loading
Store your selected theme and display preferences

This data is stored on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless required for functionality.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion:

Active listings and profile data are deleted within 30 days
Transaction history may be retained for up to 3 years for legal compliance
Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely

Subscription Refunds

Naattil subscription plans (Starter, Basic, Pro) are currently activated manually (payment gateway coming soon). Our refund policy once payments are live:

Within 24 hours of first purchase: Full refund if the service has not been significantly used (fewer than 5 products listed).
After 24 hours: No refund for the current billing cycle. You may cancel to prevent future charges.
Cancellation: Cancel anytime. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
Technical failure: If a payment was charged but subscription was not activated, a full refund will be issued within 7 business days.

💡 To request a refund, email us at info@naattil.in with your registered phone number and payment reference within the eligible period.

Token / Coin Refunds

Virtual tokens purchased within Naattil are non-refundable once credited to your account. Tokens:

Have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money
Are non-transferable between accounts
Expire upon account termination
Are not refunded if the account is suspended due to policy violations

⚠️ Exception: If tokens were charged but not credited due to a technical error, we will credit the tokens or issue a refund within 5 business days upon verification.

Product / Service Transactions

Naattil is a marketplace platform. We are not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers.

Refunds for products or services purchased from sellers on Naattil are the responsibility of the individual seller.
Naattil does not hold escrow or guarantee seller refunds.
Cash on Delivery (COD) orders: if a product is not delivered, buyers should contact the seller directly.
For disputes, contact us at info@naattil.in and we will attempt to mediate.

How to Request a Refund

Email info@naattil.in with:

Your registered phone number
Payment reference / transaction ID
Reason for refund request
Date of transaction

We will respond within 3 business days and process eligible refunds within 7–10 business days.

Seller Eligibility

To list products or services on Naattil as a seller/shop owner, you must:

Be 18 years of age or older
Be a resident of Kerala or operate a business in Kerala
Provide accurate business/personal information during registration
Agree to these Terms and the Seller Agreement
Comply with all applicable Indian laws including GST, FSSAI (for food), and local business regulations

Seller Responsibilities

Ensure all listed products/services are accurately described with correct pricing
Honor advertised prices and offers
Fulfill orders promptly and communicate with buyers
Maintain product quality as described in listings
Comply with consumer protection laws (Consumer Protection Act, 2019)
Issue bills/receipts when required by law
Pay applicable taxes on sales (GST, income tax)
Not list prohibited, illegal, or restricted items

⚠️ Sellers are solely responsible for the legality and quality of their products/services. Naattil is not liable for seller conduct or product quality.

Commission & Fees

Naattil currently operates on a subscription model (not commission-based):

Free Plan: ₹0/month — 10 products
Starter Plan: ₹99/month — 35 products + verification
Basic Plan: ₹499/month — 250 products + priority listing
Pro Plan: ₹999/month — 1000 products + top search placement

Naattil does not currently charge transaction commissions. This may change with prior notice to sellers.

Promoter / Referral Program

Naattil operates a promoter network where individuals earn commission for onboarding shops:

Promoter earnings are based on subscription revenue from referred shops
Commission rates are defined in the separate Promoter Agreement
Promoters must not make false promises to shops about platform capabilities
Commission is forfeited if a referral is found to violate platform policies

Account Termination

Naattil may suspend or terminate a seller account for:

Repeated policy violations or fraudulent activity
Selling prohibited or illegal items
Fake listings or price manipulation
Harassment of buyers or other users
Non-payment of subscription fees

Sellers may appeal account suspension by contacting info@naattil.in within 14 days.

Indemnification

As a seller, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ziya Sync Infotech, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

Your listings, products, or services
Your violation of these Terms or applicable law
Any disputes between you and buyers
Your use of the Naattil platform

Governing Law

This Seller Agreement is governed by Indian law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
